This Privacy Policy explains how Northstar Maintenance Management Inc., d/b/a CompostitALL.com® ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the ZWai™ waste-diversion intelligence application and website (the "App"), including co-branded and licensed-partner versions.
1. Information We Collect
- Photos you submit. Images you capture or upload to identify an item. These are processed to generate sorting guidance and may be stored to improve the App's accuracy.
- Location / ZIP code. A ZIP code (or, with your permission, approximate location) used solely to provide local sorting advice.
- Account information (optional). If you create a profile or sign in, we collect your name, email or social-login identifier, and your diversion activity (points, streaks) used for engagement and education features.
- Usage data. Basic, non-identifying analytics about how the App is used, including which co-branded tenant the App was launched from.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide sorting guidance and local recommendations.
- To improve the accuracy and quality of the App.
- To operate engagement and education features (e.g., points and leaderboards) where enabled.
- To provide aggregate, non-identifying engagement reporting to licensed partners.
3. Location Data
Location and ZIP-code data are used solely to provide local sorting advice and are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., hosting and image-processing infrastructure) under confidentiality obligations, and as required by law. Co-branded partners receive only aggregate, non-identifying engagement metrics — never your photos or personal identifiers.
5. Data Retention & Security
Photos and account data are stored securely and retained only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your Choices
You may use the core scanning features without creating an account. You can request deletion of your account or stored photos by contacting us.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
